UFOs have been in the news a lot lately, and discussions about them have even made their way into congressional hearings and Department of Defense research programs. But, given the nature of the topic, it can be hard to tell what information is reliable, whether UFOs are usually conventional things that happen to look strange, or whether there’s truly something strange going on in the skies. In this talk, Sarah Scoles will use examples of past UFO fervor, public and governmental, to help sort fact from fantasy in the present.
