Thank you to all who participated in the Library’s Poetry Contest. The staff was excited to receive 28 poetry submissions. Steve Andrews was the Adult Winner for the poem “Medic’s Lament.” The Youth Winner was Leif Johnson for the poem “Cats.” Interested poets had their poems submitted to KLZR for recording to ultimately play the poems on air for the listening community. KLZR will be in touch with these aspiring poets. We’d like to send a special shout out to Ms. Kristi Giste-Barne’s students for all their wonderful poetry submissions. We hope to see you all again next April!
