September is Suicide Awareness Month and the West Custer County Library staff is asking the community and Veteran Community to help shine a light on suicide with a Library “Art Walk” from September 3rd through September 28th. Custer County residents of any age can drop off artwork at the Library beginning Thursday, August 29th through Friday, September 13th. Art should be no larger than 8” by 11”, and can be any medium, such as: photos, drawings, paintings, pottery, collages, poems, etc. The art will be displayed anonymously throughout the month of September and be returned in early October. Suicide is one of the top ten leading causes of death in Colorado. Residents and visitors can view the “Art Walk” throughout September.
