The Sangres Art Guild in collaboration with the West Custer County Library, is offering the 55+ Custer County Community a free “Beginning Drawing” workshop led by mentor Anne Owens. In this two-hour class, participants will draw basic shapes as a starting activity, start with a sketch, move to drawing details, in order to create depth. There’s a possibility for continuing this class with additional sessions. Please register for this class as space is limited. All supplies are included.
The class will be held on the first floor at the Third Street Gallery, 59000 N. Highway 69, Westcliffe (Handicap accessible). Art experiences have been linked to improved social interactions, better cognitive function, and resilience in aging.
The “Beginning Drawing” mentor Anne is passionate about drawing because it is the basis for all other art mediums. She is a retired art teacher and an award-winning artist.
