Sangre de Cristo Community Care, Custer County Public Health Agency, and the West Custer County Library present “What is Hospice.” All too often we wait till a loved one is in crisis to learn about hospice and the benefits it offers patients. Sangre de Cristo Community Care of Canon City, will cover: an overview of hospice services, the resources provided during hospice, and how to make a referral. The staff takes pride in delivering services so a person can be at home with family and loved ones at their bedside. The ability to choose where to spend one’s final days is so important. It is comforting to be in a familiar environment, surrounded by the people and things you love. The presenters will be: Jordyn Bogle, RN, Clinical Manager, Michaelene Jacobs, Account Manager, and Kathleen Branham, Volunteer Coordinator. Information will also be provided on how to become a hospice volunteer. A light snack will be provided.
