Local artisan Bill Finch is offering a kitchen knife demonstration at the West Custer County Library. In this one-hour workshop Bill will share his extensive knowledge of knives: how to maintain and sharpen knives, how to clean them, and what not to do with knives. He’ll also address the question what knives do you really need in a kitchen? Finch plans to cut up veggies to demonstrate how to safely handle knives when chopping commonly eaten vegetables. He will have several different types of sharpening tools on hand.
Bill had a roadside BBQ business as well as a catering business. You may know his name from the Cook’s Corner column and recipes in the Wet Mountain Tribune. He is an accomplished artist.
