Adults can now enjoy free movies at the West Custer County Library thanks to the generous donors to the Spirit Campaign. The first movie to be shown is The Boys in the Boat in the Library Community Room. The film is about the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. This true story follows a group of underdogs at the height of the Great Depression as they are thrust into the spotlight and take on elite rivals from around the world. George Clooney directed The Boys in the Boat, it is rated PG-13, and runs for 123 minutes. Please note anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
