Tax Software Help @ West Custer County Library

Volunteers will be available at the Library Community Room to help individuals use the computer to file their taxes. The free service will be available every Wednesday during tax season from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., except for February 22 and March 29, when the times will be 7:30 to 10 a.m.

Participants will be using My Free Taxes, H&R Block software sponsored by United Way which is free for anyone with income less than $64,000.  The software asks key questions and fills in the appropriate forms, taking the guesswork out of doing taxes.  While volunteers cannot give tax advice, they can help people navigate the computer and the software.

Play to Learn @ West Custer County Library Community Room

2017-play-to-learn-website_flyer_dates_backPlay to Learn takes place the first Monday of every month from 11 a.m. until noon. Various activity stations are led by Miss Jessica, where children and caregivers play together.

Play to Learn is completely free, and anyone who takes care of young children (parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, etc…) is invited bring their kids and have some fun; no registration or RSVP required.

Camp Happiness @ West Custer County Library Community Room

2017-jan-camp-posterKids in Kindergarten through 3rd grade can come to the library to enjoy books, games, science and more.

Sponsored by West Custer County Library, Camp Happiness is a highly-interactive program that gives children the opportunity to learn through play, singing, stories, art and hands-on science. Camp takes place once a month at the library from 1:00 p.m. until about 2:30 p.m., September through April.
